This is considered “pure gold”.
14 Karat Gold (14K)
This is probably the most popular gold quality for rings, lapels, and other jewelry.

10 Karat Gold (10K)
Because of the ratio of gold to metal alloy, 10K pieces are often more durable.
- Colors: white or yellow
- Contains 41.7% fine gold.

- Layer of 10K gold bonded to both the front and back of a base metal core.
